Chrissie, Patrick and I have just taken part in #udlchat on Twitter - It was hugely fast paced, but an awesome experience! Some of the key conversations posed in the chat were:

Q1: What is your core belief or general understanding of UDL?

Q2: UDL embraces learner variability. What does that mean to you? What does or could it look like in your classroom?

Q2 part 2: What tools must tchrs have to address learner variability?

Q3: What is one goal you have for including UDL in your upcoming school year? What action steps will you take?

It would be great to hear what NZ educators are thinking - share your thoughts!

One of  the participants @KatieNovakUDL shared a video link to a great example of UDL in her classroom

#udlchat is on every 1st and 3rd Friday of every month (at 12 pm NZ time)

Thanks, Roxy, for sharing these ideas and images and songs from the udlchat group.  It is always a blast to see what is going on out in the world of education and share our stories of challenges and successes.  I also appreciate what our Aotearoa Assembly brings to the bimonthly dialogue.  We offer a unique voice where we don't only share our experiences around the basic UDL principles of representation, expression and engagement, but we also demonstrate the spirit of ako and are engaged learners/teachers.
