Some stories and ideas around dyslexia

Since discovering the video about textless interactive math games by Matthew Peterson, it got me thinking about his story.  He is someone who experiences dyslexia.  So I went on-line to begin gathering stories by young people and not-so-young people about how it was for them, particularly at school.  Included in this section are their stories.  I also include some videos of and links to strategies and technology that may be interesting to explore further when working with our young people who experience dyslexia.

I hope it helps.

It is heart warming to see that the personal stories of schooling in the first clip 'I am Dyslexic' are in stark comparison with the stories of Tyler and Teva. These boys are two very lucky students having teachers that see the potential for using digital media to break through some of the barriers to learning.

It also shows that you have to be a great person to be dyslexic! Some of the greatest names in history.
