red poppiesWhat are you doing for ANZAC Day with your students?

ANZAC Day is a local, authentic occasion to explore our role and place in New Zealand history and society, to explore global geography, to consider ideas around citizenship and duty, especially when compared to the background of current world events.

Here's a list of digital resources recently shared via TKI from Digistore and other NZ online communites:

What are you planning to do to share, explore and capture events around the day?

We have a brand new on line research unit, intended for our Year 9 and 10 students. It is so new the web designers haven't finished their part.  We need to have it on line by the beginning of term.  I feel though that some of the material in this discussion would enrich what my colleague has already done. I rather like the idea of using Pond.

The amount of activity and media coverage should pique the interest of a lot of other students, who I've rather forgotten.
