Plus

Good to have less pressure (teachers) not doing workshops

Being able to brainstorm with other teachers

Workshop time (1 hour) good -time to play  & concretize

Kids off to workshops and bring back different skills

? ability seems higher -cluster effect?

Picked Key Comps kids rather than kids who 'could step up'

Mentors with yr3-5 has been great -advice from other kids

Mentors with yr6-8 is 'just part of the group'

mentors leading storyboarding

love stickers!

Minus

? Needed more time with kids (jnrs)

? rushed from workshop -not much time to plan around concept

Teaching issue? Having to shift around -people where we weren't expecting

Upgrade of programmes on school computers led to delay in programme -need to check it is running!!

Borrowing gear... googledoc said bring own gear, but some gear was still borrowed.

Interesting

Maybe mentors with younger kids?

sharing kitchen, sharing green screen

What workshops? -kids picking was confusing for some -just needed to be clarified or decided earlier and switched if necessary.

Giving concept late to teachers was hard, an extra stress, kid directed,

Thanks for the invite to the event.

Workshop in Muritai Centre - need to get data projector sorted so it keeps on going.

Length of the workshop was good. I didn't realise that the kids in my group weren't going to come with cameras- luckily I had two personal cameras to use to fill the gap.

Shame I had to go elsewhere in the afternoon- lunch was yummy.

Looking forward to calling in tomorrow.
