Many thanks Jim. I agree, interactive eBooks seem like a great format for stories and ideas in the classroom. Currently there doesn't seem to be a clear pathway through schools to get the word out about titles but forums like the vln are certainly a good start.

Your Kahuna education site looks like a great resource, lots to see and do. Have you found any successful ways to get your eBooks into classrooms?

That's brilliant Catriona, thank you. And good on Carol and Hurupaki School for doing the great work with the wetlands! Valuable learning.

Hi all. We've just produced an educational app about the huia bird called 12 Huia Birds. We'd like to get it in front of as many teachers as possible who are using tablets in the classroom. Where do you find your apps?

Just a little more information about 12 Huia Birds:

    12 Huia Birds

A beautiful and engaging new fully interactive picture book app for children brings to life the story of New Zealand's lost huia bird. Narrated in te reo and English by George Henare, children tap and drag on the images to explore what happens with the arrival of strange creatures in the huia's habitat. The app is intended for children over six years.

There are also worksheets and suggested activities for teachers and parents to extend the learning possibilities with this app, to be found on the 12 Huia Birds website.

Available for free on Apple iOS, Android and Kindle.

    Thanks, Julian.
