Hi Brendon
Not sure it is what you were looking for but we were introduced to Aurasma at Mindlab. Might be a simple place to start
Hi Tanya - I would be interested in having a look at what you have done. Is there any chance of sharing? We are on the journey of developing a graduate profile for our context. I am thinking this could be a good activity to get staff thinking about what this means.
Thanks John - sure have read his thesis. I agree ... it is a good read
Hi All
I am on the hunt for research that supports/challenges the presumption that ILE's provide opportunities for 21st century skill development (communication, problem solving, collaboration etc) over traditional classroom settings. Has anyone read any good articles around the environment (especially in ILE's) as the third teacher?

Hi All
I too agree that it is the pedagogy behind the ILE that makes the difference...the rest are surface features. In considering learning, we must remember the front half of our curriculum, in particular the key competencies. These are central to all learning. ie "both an end in itself (a goal) and the means by which other ends are achieved" (NZC p12). Having developed our own version of an ILE (existing buildings on a shoe-string) and team teaching over the last two years, I can't think of a better way to develop the competencies our curriculum is asking us for.
Thanks
Karen
We have been using a "honeycomb" progression sheet ('bee a mathematician" or something like that) that goes from stage 1 to stage 5. I am not sure where it came from but would love the know if there is a stage 6 and beyond. Can anyone help?
Hi Tracey
I too would love to see your planning docs. Thank you for sharing.

I am very interested in following this thread as I believe we have reached a point in our journey where we also need to consult our community. I would be interested to know what kinds of questions you asked your community and how much engagement you actually got. I find that getting the community on board can be a real challenge, especially that cross section ie those who are always involved versus those you don't see very often. We have been having interesting discussions regarding events like cross country and production and how they fit within the new curriculum and 21st century pedagogies.
