We've extended the call for presentations deadline for Mahara Hui to 7 February 2014. Mahara Hui is the first Kiwi conference dedicated to Mahara and will take place at Te Papa in Wellington on 19-20 March 2014. Please consider submitting a proposal, and you will be among other great presenters talking about their experience with the software and esp. how they are using it to accomplish their goals. Registration is now open as well.

One special note for students wanting to participate

We are in the fortunate position to offer two students the chance of a $500 grant towards their registration, accommodation and travel expenses thanks to the sponsorship from ThinkAgency. This is a great opportunity for students to share their ePortfolio experience on MyPortfolio with an audience of New Zealand and international users of Mahara and engage with them in conversations.

We would like to invite you to discuss this opportunity with your students and encourage them to submit a presentation proposal. You can find more information about the proposals at https://maharahui.org.nz/mod/page/view.php?id=8

The papers committee will review all student proposals and then offer two students a grant of $500. When a student accepts, they commit themselves to attend both conference days, 19-20 March 2014, and are also welcome to attend the hackfest on 21 March 2014. ThinkAgency will arrange payment with the students directly.

We look forward to seeing you at Mahara Hui.

    Hello MyPortfolio users,
    (sorry for cross-posting)

Thanks to funding from the Ministry of Education, we'll be able to offer pedagogical support sessions in 2014 for MyPorfolio users, in particular teachers.

In order to plan for them and know what you are most interested in, we'd like you to fill in our short survey. On offer are webinars and also online office hours to discuss your questions.

Your responses will help us plan for these sessions so they are most valuable for you. Please do not hesitate to send the link to the survey to other teachers using MyPortfolio who might be interested in these sessions.

    Thank you
