Thank you for your feedback Sheryl! I am aware of this easy blogger option, however I am reluctant to use their blogging platform (as our students already have their own blogger blogs). A couple of years ago, I used Kidblog and things changed with them too... With Kidblog students were not able to carry their blogs to the next year level, which I think is also the case with the easy blogger platform, unless you pay for it... With blogger however, this is possible.
I am still hoping that something similar to easy blogger will become available for students to use again with their blogger blogs.

Thank you for asking this question Merryl! I have been searching for an alternative as well, now that easy blogger jr is not working anymore. Really frustrating, especially with junior students!
Can you also use Blog Touch Pro to upload videos (like you could with easy blogger jr) into a blog post, Helen?
Thanks!
Hi Cas
Are you aware of this 'triangulation' that can support you with making OTJ's? It is available on the TKI... http://nzcurriculum.tki.org.nz/National-Standards/Key-information/Fact-sheets/Overall-teacher-judgment.
Although JAM is an assessment / 'Tool outcome', you can also use this as a part of your OTJ... (it includes strategies & knowledge questions).
I hope this is of help to you.
You are invited to join us for some great PL & D at Connected Rotorua.
Thank you to all the people who have responded, we really appreciate it. We are still in the process of gauging interest for future meetings - once a term on a Friday afternoon at a school in Rotorua. Below is a short form for you to complete. We will be looking at responses to make a decision by Friday 10 March 2017 @ 12.00pm
Looking forward to your responses!
Hi Christina
I've started using Easy Blogger Jr with my Year 1 students at the start of this year. What I found to be worthwhile is that they can 'take' their blog with them to the next year group / class. Their blogs also have links on our class blog, which parents can easily view.
I am not sure what you mean with using it for "communication back to ECE centres", but if ECE are interested to see what their prior students are able to do [now], they too can view the blogs, as it is public.
Hope this helps!
You are invited to join us for the first session of 2016 at Mokoia Intermediate where the following will be discussed:
1. Engaging future focussed learners in Authentic Rotorua context
2. GAFE (keeping the learner at the center)
