Hi Sandy McFadyen from Parkvale. As Jody said we have been using Google Apps and Hapara Dashboard in 1 to 1 BYOD over the past 3 years. We would be more than happy for you to visit.
I have successfully used Google Takeout for the first time this year for a couple of our students who left part way through the year . For blogs providing an alternative google account - with parent permission if under 13 is the best way for transferring over the blogs. With a reminder that the invitation to accept the blog has to be clicked on so the new account holder can become administrator.
We have been using Typing Club from Chrome Web Store and have pushed this out to all users. There isn't time to spend in class specifically teaching touch typing and using a "flipped classroom" concept to teach typing , I think is the best work around. However there are lots of tips to make tou typing easier, like encouraging children to use both hands, pointing out that the bumps on the j and f keys are home keys, using thumbs for space bar. They are all good tips to pass onto students to help them become more efficient.
Try Haiku Deck Jody - that's what some of our iPad users have being using.
There is no ability to edit Google Presentations or create them on an iPad as yet. It is view only. Hopefully this will happen in the near future!
Hapara is a must with Google Apps. We have 4 one to one device classes and the teachers would not be without it. This link may be of some use to you - not sure if you have it or not https://sites.google.com/a/hapara.com/customer-success/home. The link was sent to me by one of the Hapara representatives and has lots of information and some little tips on using Dashboard which makes things really manageable. Hope it is of some use.

Hi Sam are you referring to the Hapara Teacher Dashboard. If so this will work on any machine as long as it is running a chrome browser. It is just a matter of downloading an extension and pushing it out to all machines you want to use the remote control with.

Teacher Dashboard is a must have! Especially if you are also looking at individual blogs. Easy to manage all the apps within it. We love it and wouldn't be without it.

You are able to set up a template - but then this is used to individually create blogs. Dorothy Burt has a great site called Effective Blogging http://goo.gl//xnvMO which has great tips for multiple blog set up. It is tedious but you get quick after making hundreds!
That is a really big job when you have 200+ accounts! But yes, did do that for some accounts.
