Hi there,
just asking on behalf, are students able to use Google Sheets for NCEA Maths and Statistics or is it not offering enough functionality?
Many thanks in advance!
Hi,
one of my schools is using Cabu, a wordpress type site, as their school website incl. school newspaper. They are multi-platform with laptops, android tablets and now iPads. They have been using Book Creator on the iPad and via Youblisher have embedded their creations into the school newspaper as flip books (very cool, check it our here). We are trying to replicate this with books created on the android tablets; however, the app only exports as epub. Any suggestions what we could do??
Many thanks, Monika
Hi there,
just wondering if anyone knows anything about the StudyPAD Junior tablet? One of my schools has been sent advertising about this and would like to know if anyone is using them.
Many thanks, Monika
Thanks heaps everyone, keep these great ideas coming, I am encouraging my teacher to trial them and see which ones suit her children's needs best :)
Hi there,
on behalf of one of my teachers I would like to pick your collective brains about apps that help develop pre-maths skills for students at the 3-5y old level (many of us are getting students of this level enter NE). Are there any apps you have found particularly useful, e.g. to look at bigger and smaller etc.?
Many thanks in advance! Monika

Hi Leigh,
Padlet definitely works in real time, no app download and no student accounts required if the teacher sets up the wall.
Have you tried lino app, the iOS version of linoit (free)? Should also work, and no accounts for students required if the teacher sets the lino up.
Popplet app (full version) should work but I think you would need to use the Online Popplets and invite every student to collaborate, meaning setting up an account for every child.
Prezi should also work, again every collaborator needs an account.
Looking forward to hearing what you find works best in this situation! Monika
Hi there,
asking on behalf for one of my teachers: He is lookign for a reliable, straightforward and preferably free app he could have students use to dictate text from laptop into Google Docs. He would also be interested in an app that could read text back to students. Any suggestions?
Many thanks, Monika
