Hi Leesa,
I highly recommend visiting Northern Beaches Christian School (which includes the Sydney Centre for Innovation in Learning). Here is their website link with contact details: http://www.nbcs.nsw.edu.au
Neutral Bay Public School is also well worth a visit. They have a great 1:1 iPad programme in place.
If I think of any more I will let you know. :)
Cheers

Hi Allanah,
Have you seen futaba?
https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/futaba-classroom-games-for/id487979995?mt=8
What I like about this app is the ability for the kids to create their own games to reinforce their understanding. Can also have up to 4 players.
Simple concept but has potential to be put to good use.
Hi Nicky,
Blogpress is another app that links to your blogger account. It also allows you to link to a YouTube account. Once you set this up you can upload movie footage to your blog. The app sends the footage to YouTube and then automatically embeds it into your blog post :)
I think it costs about $6 but well worth it.
Cheers, Mandy
I have just found the AvatarBook series and my own children absolutely love them. On opening the children are prompted to take their photo - they then become the main character in the story. Stories in the series include: Cinderella, PeterPan, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland and Aladin.

Other free interactive book apps worth downloading are:
Songs4Kids
MelodyStreet
Curious George at the Zoo
Does anyone else have some recommendations?
Fantastic - thanks Cheryl
Hi Corrie,
Can't seem to find it in the app store. Does it go by any other name?
Cheers
Mandy
I am working with an ESOL teacher at the moment who is looking for apps to support her y7-8 students in developing understanding of comprehension strategies. Any suggestions?
