    HI Amy

This link will (may) answer your questions.

    http://elearning.tki.org.nz/Professional-learning/e-Learning-Planning-Framework

Stolen from the above link :)

The e-Learning Planning Framework (eLPF) and Māori-medium eLPF are tools to help schools and teachers reflect on, and evaluate, their e-learning capability. The eLPF is intended to support regular self-review and subsequent improvement of e-learning skills and knowledge, in ways that reflect our bicultural heritage within a multicultural context.

If you would like to discuss it further you can email me and we can get together online for a chat.

  • Rick 27 Aug 2014 1:31pm () in eLPF online tool

Since the 28th July 2014 the eLearning Planning Framework  (eLPF) online tool has been live to all schools/kura on the Enabling E-Learning  (EEL) site with full instructions.  There is also a Word doc  Using the eLPF online tool.docx  that you can dowload and refer to or print out to have beside you as you set up and administer your account and surveys. Access to the tool  can be found here for schools administrators to request access to create a user account on the website. Once you have created your account you can then manage your schools surveys within the e-Learning Planning Framework online tool. The MMeLPF /te Rangitukutuku (Maori Medium eLPF) tool is also now available as a download on EEL.

If you have used the eLPF online tool or Te Rangitukutuku please share your stories here about your journey.

Welcome back  everyone! We are half way through term one and I have just had time to get back into this group .  As we mentioned at the end of last year, we held our facilitators leadership forum meeting and have decided to:

    1.       Continue to encourage school leaders to hold their own f2f days based on their own needs.

    2.      Help with online collaboration by providing support and opportunities for school leaders to use the online spaces to collaborate based on the needs and strengths document in the VLN CN Leaders site.

Number one is quite self-explanatory and your schools can develop these yourselves on a needs basis. The Taupo Connected Teachers held a very successful day this term.

Number two we thought about holding an online week, maybe from 3.30 -4.30 Monday to Friday Term 1 or 2 depending on demand. This would involve the school leaders/teachers taking an online session on something that they have strength in. The other schools would nominate to come into the sessions that are relevant to them.  That way we can cover many needs and the schools only do what is relevant to them on that particular day. This will then give you the ability to organise more of these sorts of event yourselves in the coming year.

The main reason we are doing this as it is the natural progression step from our f2f meeting held last year. We show cased the different types of online tools and now we are giving you the opportunity to use them.  It will also allow all of the outlying schools to be a part of it as well. This is based on need. There was a lot of talk last year around continuing and coming together as clusters of schools. So it is now up to you to come forward and get it going.

    What do we think?

If anyone is willing to take a session please contact rick.whalley@core-ed.ac.nz or contact your LwDT facilitator and we will start to organise the online sessions.  Support will be given to all who are wanting to take the online sessions. If you are wondering what you can do, please look at our needs and strengths doc that you produced  at our Hui last term.

    Thanks all

Looking forward to hearing from you with your contributions to our online sessions.

    Hi Melissa

Great question and one that we really need to think about when we are trying to implemet ICT throughout the school. I have a shared a couple of sites with articles that show and explore some of the barrieirs and strategies that may be used to overcome these. These readings also remind us that it is a global problem and one that we are all aware of and trying to overcome in our schools and institutions.Laughing
