Regarding discussion about how to manage the red traffic light system, there is some discussion here. Keep an eye out for more updates about wind instruments/singing in the red traffic light with MENZA currently liaising with the MoE about them.

Music Ecademy has rebuilt its user interface and has expanded the content and resources. Give Jaroslav an email to get a trial about this theory and harmony app.

AudioCulture has just published a great article on how Mat Hoyes has made 10 examples how NZ pop songs can be analyzed for Level 2 “Investigate an aspect of NZ Music”.

Student opportunities

Jazz Band-it, a competition for intermediate and secondary school students has been launched, lead by Rodger Fox. $18,000 of prizes are up for grabs.
