Registrations for the bi-annual MENZA 11-13 Oct conference are now open. He Hononga: Connecting Within and Across. All of the details are on a dedicated conference website www.menzaconference.co.nz, including the announcement of keynotes, accommodation details and an outline of the program for the 3 days (with pre-registration on sunday). Travel subsidies and costs are all listed. Save $50 and register as an early bird.

A reminder to RSVP if you are attending the MENZA AGM and workshops 19th June in AKL. There is also a zoom link to these for MENZA members (check your next eNotes email)
Is your school, class, ensemble going to play the Hook-line-and-sing-a-long winner on Monday May 31st as part of the national celebration of NZ Music month? Register here so the NZ Music commission know. 
Looking for templates for Band directors job descriptions
Taonga puoro experts from around NZ were listed who you could use to help with your teaching. 
If you need some more NZ Music Month books there are still some available. 

 

Primary
Sources of Ukulele stickers and the pros and cons of paper vs vinyl is all in this thread. 
A reminder about the Music and Digital Technologies aimed at NE to Year 8 teachers. 12-13th July The cost is only $85 with travel and accommodation support for early registrations. Come hear keynotes by Katie Wardrobe (in real life), Tim and Judith Bell and Sarah Washbrooke.

Do you have any tips for teaching AS91422? Particularly with structuring the learning?
Andrew Stopps has a new NCEA resource on “Hallelujah”. 
Screen casting was confirmed as a viable option for students composing in a Digital Audio Workstation. 
Arrangements do need a score, and options for students were shared. 
The New Music Technology Unit standards are now up online. They include a 2-credit standard for using notation.
