Kia ora tātou

It’s May so that means it’s NZ Music Month. Each year it’s a chance to look around Aotearoa and see what is happening around us. Are you using the Daily Calendar?  I’ve been enjoying watching the “Waiata Anthems” and seeing how different the process is for each NZ band. Watch it on TVNZ or on ETV which most schools have free access.

As is expected, Christchurch are doing their amazing massed performance of the winning Hook Line and Sing-a-long on the 31st May. It’s happening at Tūranga this year.

Finally I’d like to highlight the recent statement from MENZA about the recent stories of inappropriate and harmful behaviour in the Music Education space.
