The annual student songwriting competition, Hook-line-and-sing-a-long, which is a collaboration between MENZA and The NZ Music Commission closes this sunday, March 17th. $1500 of prizes are up for grabs. If you don’t have enough time for this year, still head to the website and use previous winners to help your students write songs.


On a similar theme, Orchestra Wellington has a competition for a year 9-13 student to compose an original song to be performed by the orchestra and Annie Crummer.
