So it’s Sunday night, before Term 4 starts. Talking to some colleagues over the last few days, it seems that most music teachers have been marking and planning, but also squeezing in a few days of relaxation. There are quite a few professional development days coming up this term, and into next year. The Networks of Expertise contracts that ONZA and MENZA hold, are planning a number of PD days around the country over the next 16 months, so ensure you’ve put something in your school budget applications for 2019!

General (for all Music Levels)

Megan is looking to borrow, hire or buy a Marching Bass Drum in the Wellington region.

Opinions on a Macbook Pro vs Macbook Air are sought.

SAE Audio Institute is hosting ‘Computer Games’ with the NZ Music Commission. PD for Secondary school music teachers. AKL 16 Nov

Uke-can-do-it and Uke-quest entries close on the 22nd Oct.

Girls Rock! Camp Aotearoa details have been released.

Applications close on 19th Oct for the The Adam Summer School for Chamber Music in Nelson (Feb 2019)

The Atamira Dance company is heading to Gisborne, Tauranga, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Whangarei, Auckland during October and Nov.  It’s suitable for Yr 9-13s.

AKL University have another songwriting workshop on 7th Nov.

NZ Choral Academy in AKL in Jan, to upskill and learn from a range of skilled vocal experts.

NZ Primary Teachers Conference 15-16 April 2019

Kodaly training dates for 2019 are confirmed.
