Kia ora koutou,

Welcome back to Term 3 for those of you in the teaching sector. I hope you managed to get some downtime during the break and I look forward as usual to the wide-ranging discussions that crop up in such a diverse group. Diverse voices are important so make sure you ‘have your say’ in the NCEA review both individually, as regional groups or as departaments.


If you’re feeling a mite cynical at present as a school teacher you may appreciate the irony of this short film School Portraits


Primary/ Junior Secondary:

Interactive whare; a simple click and match to introduce students to parts of a whare

Art study cards: use as-is with older students, or, if you are not an art specialist they are great prompt cards to support teachers in leading conversations with younger students.
