Enabling e-Learning has published some new resources on, Digital Technologies in the national curriculum - what's it all about? In this forum we'll unpack some of the key ideas and resources around understanding computational thinking page, digital technologies, digital fluency and more. We invite your input and would love for you to share how you're unpacking digital technologies in the curriculum in your organisation, school or kura. FORUM: Assessment in a digital age, 26 May - 26 June
Authentic, project-based learning and collaboration are growing trends in education - all for good reason. But what about assessment for learning? What does this look like for both primary and secondary in a digital age? What tools do we have access to and how can data be shared within and beyond schools/kura (CoLs) and why would we? This forum is an opportunity to discuss current needs/issues/trends for both students and teachers. We'd like to hear what works for you and how your ideas can help others with similar needs and interests. This conversation will be facilitated in the Teaching group.

Learner Agency Heather Harper asked, what does learner agency look like? Mike Perry and others have added to the discussion, providing some thinking around the importance of the key competencies and self management skills. How do you know your students are taking more ownership of the choices they make in their learning?
What does LT Planning in a collaborative learning space look like...Carly Kidd wants to know, does long-term planning have a place in innovative learning environments and if so, how does it fit - without planning overload? Community members have started to share some rich responses, which in-turn have helped to provide some clarity. Do you have some experiences/thinking of your own to offer Carly?

New video in Enabling e-Learning (TKI): Building culturally responsive practice schoolwide

Principal, Roger Hornblow describes their two and a half year journey to build culturally inclusive practices at Pegasus Bay School. They began by involving whānau and the community to develop their place-based approach to learning. Consultation with the Ngāi Tūāhuriri Education Committee (Ngāi Tahu) was ongoing from the early stages of designing the new school.

Sharing Aurasma videos: Heather Harper is looking for some technical advice. How can the class share their Aurasma videos? Do these need to be QR Codes? The students have GAFE accounts and are on Google Classroom. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
