Love musicnet? Love to change something about the list? Like to keep it as it is? Here’s your chance. A very short survey to help us evaluate the value and function of the Musicnet list.


Summary to 26th Nov 2016

General (for all Music Levels)

·         Andrew Lloyd Webber discussed the ‘Empowerment of Music’ on the Graham Norton last week.

·         Marking Novation Launchpad performances

·         Jade would like participants in a 10min survey looking at the perception of music education in New Zealand society.

·         Andrew is looking for short videos on why students should take music, along with some life hacks for music.

·         Nominations for the next round of Music EDnet Mentors for 2017 closes on the 2nd of Dec. This is open for Primary through to Secondary teachers.



Intermediate/Lower Secondary  

·         Some great posters for Music careers were shared and links posted.



·         Lisa asked for help marking a Level 2 DJ performance.

·         Windows-based options for Level 2 and 3 Sequencing standards.


Professional Development/Concerts/Competitions


·         Dunedin Flute Festival 10th and 11th of December.

·         An Ornament to the Town, The Band Rotunda in NZ is a new exhibition oped from March to June 2017 in WLG.



·         Oliver is available for Piano, Guitar and Music Technology in AKL.

·         Chris is available for Bass and Guitar Teaching in AKL.

·         Pinehill School in AKL is looking for a Music and possibly Dance/Drama specialist for 2017.

·         Paparoa Street School in CHCH is looking for a Drum Teacher for 2017.

·         HOD Music at Central Hawkes Bay College for 2017.

·         Lynfield College has vacancies for Violin/Viola/Cello/, Saxophone, Clarinet and Chamber Orchestra.

·         Jason is available for Saxophone/Piano teaching in AKL.

·         A Bagpipe teacher is required in AKL.
