Start a hangout from within the VLN
We have just added an option to the Online Users widget, User profile pages and Group members pages to allow you to easily start a hangout with your Friends in the VLN.
If you want to have a google hangout with one of your friends just click the "Start a hangout" button at any of the above places and you will then be prompted to select the friends that you want to invite. Once you have them all selected just click the "Start Hangout" button again and a Google Hangout session will be started for you.
In order to take part in the hangout both you and your friends will need a google account.

Wow very cool, my kids would love to see this on their site, but i don't think we will go there just yet. Is there also the possibility of live chat option?
Piece of cake to add it now we have done it once - so whenever you are ready, just let us know - although you have the 13+ issue on any student based sites.
Will be looking at some live chat options - it is very resource intensive, so just need a way of adding it that we are sure won't affect server performance.
