New learner

By Melse Comments (5)

Hi there, Our school is relatively new to E-portfolio but its a huge focus this year and I'm finding myself being drownwed by all the information and have lost all my confidence. Is there somewhere I can do to get support for this to have a play around without messing anything up? We are using it through Teacher dash board Hapara and I don't want my children losing out because I lack confidence. Hope I'm not alone! Thanks!

Awesome that you have used the VLN to ask for help.  I am sure you are not aloneCool  What is the ePortfolio platform you are using?  As you are using Teacher Dashboard I am wondering if you are using Google Blogger?  Let me know and if it is I would be happy to give you some support.

Hi Melse, Awesome to hear that your school is making e-portfolios their focus for the year, they can be an incredibly rich tool for connecting home and school and students with their own learning. As I went through this journey with my school I always made sure I had my own seperate "practice page" on the site that I could upload, move, save, "delete" whoops! and it wouldn't effect anyone else's hard work. It also gave me the confidence to try new things.

It would be great to hear how you are getting on as you gain in confidence (which you will!)

You may want to get in contact with Jamin Leitze at Bethlehem College in Taurange, he has been leading the implementation of eportfolios across the primary school there, a very helpful person who is willing to share his knowledge.
