In my Yr 2 class I have been trialling the 6 thinking hats within my classroom. The students have embraced the hats and enjoy having the chance to wear the different ones. We have broke down what each hat means and used it during reading, writing and our topic. I have created posters around the room for all the students to see and refer to. I believe my students are directing their thinking more and they are producing higher quality answers and thinking. I am going to continue to use this within my class for the rest of the year.
Just started my journey on exploring de bono's hats in my classroom. I am trying to incorporate more higher order thinking. If anyone has any great ideas on where I could use this feel free to leave me a comment.
